Members pay an annual subscription, with no separate green fees to shoot during the summer season on normal club days. Additional costs may be levied when attending an Open Shoot, whether organised by BBA or another club or organisation (such as DCAA or EMAS); these events will be publicised in advance and typically require participants to complete an entry form ahead of the organised shoot.
Fees for indoor shooting are also included in the annual subscription for all members.
DISCOUNTS APPLY TO NEW MEMBERS JOINING LATER IN THE SUBSCRIPTION YEAR - Please contact us for further information
* An additional fee will be required to cover Washlands membership if a junior joins on their own, without a senior family member also joining. This is to cover a parent or guardian accompanying their child whenever they attend Washlands.
Along with membership of Burton Bridge Archers, your subscription fee covers membership/affiliation to:
A large proportion of the fees we charge for club membership actually go towards membership of these external organisations, and the club receives a relatively small proportion of your fee.
The club fees are used to contribute to the cost of the club's venues (both indoor and outdoor), equipment provided by the club such as targets, bosses, bows, arrows and other equipment, the club's hut and storage containers, and various expenses incurred throughout the year. No-one within the club, whether they are committee members, coaches, or any other member, receives any money from the club - all of the roles undertaken by club members are carried out on a voluntary basis.
The fees do not come close to covering all of the club's expenses, but additional activities undertaken by the club throughout the year (e.g. Beginners' Courses, Have-a-Go sessions and Open Tournaments) cover the shortfall.
